Generic Food suggestions - Get this done on the weekend, NOT Monday night.

Make sure to bring what you need to bake over the fire on Day 3. On Day 2 supper will be Roast beef. All you need to bring is the sides.

On Day 1 supper can be anything. Consider bringing Salmon or chicken. I suggest freezing it before the trip and wrapping it in a ziploc and some newspaper so it doesn't dribble on your gear!

The trip is approaching!! The weather looks amazing. The snow is thigh deep.

Make sure you have all the warm gear you need.

Hi All,
There will be no classes next week (Dec 1st-5th) as I am busy every day at lunch.

The following week we will have class on Thursday Dec 11th.

Our confirmed winter trip dates are FEB 26-28th.

Winter Trip Preparation on the way!

Hi Folks,
Our winter trip prep is underway. We will be looking into how to prepare food and cook effectively in winter. How to dress, build snow shelters, do first aid and generally enjoy ourselves on the trip...even if it's -30C!
I will have a class schedule up soon.

Field Trip forms now available

Hi Folks,
Please check under the Hiking Trip tab to find the field trip forms you need to get signed for the hiking trip. You will need to print off these forms and get them back to me BEFORE the thanksgiving weekend.

Classes this week will be on Thursday and Friday. Due to our missed class last week we will have to condense things a little prior to the trip. Anything that can be thrown up on the blog will not really be covered in class. I do expect you to read it!

Please send me pics of your menus so I can put them on the blog too. Other groups might like your food ideas.

We will have classes this week on WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY. I have been asked to be VP on Thursday so I will not be available at lunch.

FYI: Hiking trip dates are to be Oct 15-17.
